SimplyDV Video Tutorials

As an accompaniment to the text-based tutorials I’d been writing for magazines like Digital Video, Computer Video and Mac User, I decided to create a set of video screencast tutorials to help newbie video editors.

39 Tutorials on five DVDs – “Getting Started with Premiere Elements 7″

In 2009, I created 39 “how-to” tutorials designed to get users started in the use of Adobe’s Premiere Elements 7 video editing software package.

A set of 5 DVDs, containing a total of 39 in-depth tutorials, was the result. I did everything – from devising and planning each module to recording them, providing the audio commentary, editing, compressing and mastering the DVDs – all using Adobe software. The DVDs were produced by me and published by my associate company, SimplyDV Ltd. If you want to get started with video editing, grab your set here because they’ve nearly all gone.

As you can see, the tutorials are designed with you in mind; you can decided what to watch and when. You can work through the 39 modules contained in the 5-disc set at a pace to suit you and experiment with your own material as your skills develop. What could be simpler?

Here’s another sample clip containing excerpts from a module on Disc 4:

You can see for yourself that the modules are all presented in a friendly, over-your-shoulder style and don’t assume any prior editing knowledge or experience. Moreover, the 5 discs contain over 7 hours – yes, 7 hours! – of useful tips and tricks to get you going.
