About My Books
Since 1995, I've been a regular contributor to popular British video and camcorder magazines. My writing about all things video is the result of a lifetime not only working with video-making technology but also as a trainer and tutor in a range of environments.

For over two years my monthly column, called Colin Barrett's VideoView, was published in Camcorder User (later renamed Digital Video) magazine. Since writing my first feature on how to get the best out of your new camcorder for Camcorder User way back in 1997, I've written hundreds of articles, features, tutorials and product reviews for all the main UK monthlies that are aimed at the camcorder and digital video market. In fact, I've lots count on just how many I've had published, but if my computer's hard-disk archive is anything to go by it has to be something in the region of 450 and counting.
Four books on the subject of digital video have been published with my name on the cover. Starting with the most recent, they are:
Collins GEM Digital Video (Harper Collins, 2007) More Info...
Collins Need To Know? Digital Video (Harper Collins, 2006) More Info...
Go Digital! Keep The Past Alive! (Taschen/Evergreen, 2006) More Info...
